Since the beginning of June, when the first Caribbean destinations began to reopen their borders for tourism, there’s been a continued wave of hotel re-openings.

So it was major news in Punta Cana this weekend when a full-fledged new resort actually opened its doors — for the first time.

Indeed, the first new resort to open in Punta Cana since the beginning of the pandemic just began welcoming guests: The Radisson Blu Resort and Residence Punta Cana.

Aruba has become the first Caribbean destination to partner with JetBlue on a pre-testing program.

Aruba will begin accepting a PCR test facilitated by a company called Vault.

Aruba has required a PCR test for all visitors since reopening for tourism over the summer.

The virtually-supervised at-home test facilitated by Vault’s platform is the first and only saliva-based test accepted for entry of JetBlue customers into Aruba.

St Kitts and Nevis has announced a few slight changes to its current travel protocols. 

The update includes a price of $150 USD for PCR tests for international travelers. 

The country has also unveiled its Travel Authorization Form website; all travelers must complete the form and upload a negative PCR result within 72 hours of travel to the twin-island federation.

The Bahamas has removed the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

A negative RT PCR COVID test, no older than five days, is still required to enter The Bahamas.

Visitors will be required to purchase health insurance as of November 14th with the Health Visa.

If a person tests positive and exhibits symptoms, they will be immediately medically evacuated to their home country.

Travelers, who are staying in The Bahamas for more than four nights/five days, will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 antigen test.
