As part of its new health and safety measures amid the pandemic, Delta Air Lines says it is blocking middle seats on all of its flights through Sept. 30. 

All middle seats will either be shown as unavailable or not assignable when travelers make seat selections online. 

The company said it would also be blocking the selection of some aisle seats in planes with 2×2 seating configurations. 

The measures additionally include capping seating in every cabin through Sept. 30.

Southwest Airlines is planning to relaunch a number of routes as the Caribbean begins opening up once again for tourism, the carrier said. 

While the launches are dependent on each individual destination’s reopening plans, Southwest Airlines said it would be resuming service to destinations in both Mexico and the Caribbean. 

For now, Southwest plans to resume service to Havana, Cuba; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Nassau, The Bahamas beginning July 1.

St Croix might be your best bet if you’re thinking about heading to the U.S. Virgin Islands soon after the U.S. territory officially reopened to visitors on June 1.

Of the three islands in the USVI — St Thomas, St Croix, and St John — St. Croix has the most hotels currently open, including such prominent properties as the Hotel Caravelle, The Buccaneer, Sand Castle on the Beach, and The Fred, among others.

In fact, St Croix is the rare Caribbean destination with more hotels open than closed.
