Montego Bay, Jamaica has a major new adults-only, all-inclusive resort: Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, which held its grand opening this week. 

The property, which is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection portfolio, began welcoming guests in the middle of last month. 

It’s the most significant new resort in Jamaica for parent Blue Diamond since the company opened its Royalton Negril resort back in 2017.

Cruise passengers are flocking to the revamped Nassau Cruise Port in The Bahamas, with the Caribbean’s most popular cruise destination topping its all-time record with a month to spare in 2023. 

So far this year, Nassau Cruise Port has received 3,869,003 passengers through the end of November, the highest total in its history. 

That eclipsed the previous record of 3,859,183 passengers set in 2019.

As the largest of the three main U.S. Virgin Islands, it feels like St. Croix could easily be overrun with sun-seekers, or anyone looking for an effortless tropical vacation in the United States, no passport required. Despite being conveniently accessible from the U.S. mainland, though, this island seems to fly under the radar. While Silver Airways has been steadily expanding its network in the Caribbean out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, it’s easy to forget that the carrier is actually based in South Florida. 

For years, Silver has been operating a host of routes between Florida cities and destinations, mostly, in the Out Islands of The Bahamas. 

Now, the company is set to add a brand-new destination: the Turks and Caicos Islands.
